Thomas Coke is a lawyer, startup advisor and die-hard entrepreneur. He was the founder and CEO of CampusStarter, a crowdfunding company, and subsequently the former VP of North America for Hubbub, a UK-based crowdfunding company that acquired CampusStarter.
Prior to that, he worked as the Director of Compliance at CrowdFund Connect, a startup that launched CannaFundr, and he also worked at VerifyValid; both startups exited. Tom cut his teeth as a securities regulator and attorney for the State of Michigan Securities Division, and helped write several state crowdfunding bills. He worked extensively in crowdfunding and startup securities and is routinely invited to speak in the Midwest on topics of crowdfunding and startup finance. He is also a certified mediator and public speaker.
Tom has a knack for helping small businesses navigate the complex regulatory environment and rules in order to raise capital. Tom is instrumental in the success of the startup ecosystem in the northwest side of the state. He resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
